IYDV recognizes six levels of development from the Opera Discovery (15–17) to the American Wagner Project (no age limit). I audited sessions and served as a Chaperone for the Opera Discovery program in 2023.
Schmidt Vocal Arts
Schmidt Vocal Arts has greatly impacted my career as a vocalist thus far. I first got involved through their Vocal Competition in Las Vegas and later attended their Schmidt Vocal Institute, a two-week program at the Miami University in Ohio.
Las Vegas Academy Choral Department
For my secondary education, I attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a choir major. They provide various classes for growing musicians to develop their skills in various genres including classical, pop, jazz, and a capella.
National Association of Teachers of Singing
I have competed in the NATS District and Regional Competitions for several years now. At their regional conferences, they offer workshops and masterclasses as well as a guest artist recital every year.
UNLV Opera Theater & UNLV School of Music
My very first experience in opera was through the UNLV Opera Theater program in their 2020 Spring production of Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. My skills as a musician have greatly improved from working with UNLV's School of Music faculty and getting feedback from the many guest artists that come every year is unparalleled.
National Association for Music Education
My experience with NAfME's All-National Honors Ensemble was exemplary. I worked with American composer and conductor, Z. Randall Stroope, in Orlando, Florida and got the opportunity to connect with fellow High School Musicians like myself from all across the country.
Honors Performance Series
The Honors Performance Series gave me the opportunity to work with incredible conductors in my High School career in the world's most famous music halls including the Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House.
